Configure Data Import & Files Page

This page us used to manage the aircraft, airport, logging and image database files and folders.

Aircraft :

This area is used to select and import the C.A.S.A. registration ".CSV" file.
The top input box is the ".CSV" source file ("M:\Plane\acrftreg.csv"), i.e. the file downloaded from C.A.S.A web site, double clicking on this input box will display the open file dialog to select the file.
The Middle input box is the folder ("C:\temp\") in which the aircraft files will be written, double clicking on this input box will display the Select Directory dialog to select the folder.
The lower input box is the filename ("ACReg.Dat") aircraft data will be written, an index file "ACReg.Idx" will also be written.
Press the Import button to import the file in the top input box to the file in the [folder][filename] ("c:\temp\ACReg.Dat") file.
Pressing the Load Idx button will re-load the index file (not normally required).
The label at the bottom displays the number of aircraft in the database (once loaded).

Airports :

This area is to import and export airport data to and from ".XML" format.
The top input box is the ".XML" source file ("c:\temp\Airports.XML"), double clicking on this input box will display the open file dialog to select the file.
The Middle input box is the folder ("C:\temp\") in which the airport files will be written, double clicking on this input box will display the Select Directory dialog to select the folder.
The lower input box is the filename ("Airports.Dat") aircraft data will be written, an index file "Airports.Idx" will also be written.
The Show XML button will load the ".XML" file into the tree view to the right, this will enable you to check the ".XML" file before importing it.
Pressing the Import button will import the file in the top input box to the file in the [folder][filename] ("c:\temp\Airports.Dat") file.
Pressing the Export button will export the airports data into the file in the top input box as ".XML".
The Rebuild button may on a rare occasions be required to rebuild the aircraft index file.
Pressing the Load Idx button will re-load the index file (not normally required).

Log :

This area is used to setup the "Heard" log folder and filename.
The Upper input box is the folder ("M:\transfer\") in which the log file will be written, double clicking on this input box will display the Select Directory dialog to select the folder.
The lower input box is the filename ("Aircraft.Log") aircraft data will be written, an index file "ACReg.Idx" will also be written.

Images :

This area is used to setup the base folder for all images.
The Upper input box is the folder ("M:\transfer\Planes\images\") in which the log file will be written, double clicking on this input box will display the Select Directory dialog to select the folder.
