This page is used to input/import manufacturers and aircraft pictures (".JPG" format only).
Manufactures :
Shows a list box of aircraft manufactures known by ScannerMate.
To add another Manufacturer, you would either type the manufacturers name in the input box or if you have a current aircraft selected, click the From Aircraft button, this will put the current aircraft's manufacturer into the manufacturers name input box cropped of at a length of the spin box above.(Cropping manufacturers name to a length about 8-12 is best for search speed).
When the name in then manufacturers name input box is acceptable press then Add button, this will add the name to the list box on then left.
If you are not happy you can reload the manufacturers list by pressing the Load button.
When Finished be sure to press the Save button to save to file.
the Delete button will delete the selected manufacturer in the list box.
Pictures :
This panel is used to import images (".JPG" files) to either the manufacturers generic type pictures or the aircraft picture by callsign.
To add a picture for an aircraft, for example VH-SQY you would first load the ".JPG" file onto the preview panel by pressing the Load Picture button, the open picture dialog will be displayed for you to select your picture of SQY.
If this preview image is OK, type "SQY" in the Aircraft Callsign input box, the final filename will be displayed on the label below, then press the Save Picture button in the Aircraft area. The picture will now be used when the callsign SQY is input on the Aircraft Page.
If you haven't got a picture of VH-SQY but have a picture of a Cessna 152, you might want to use it as the generic picture.
To do this you would load the picture onto the preview panel as above, ensure Cessna is selected in the manufacturers name input box in the manufacturers area. Type "152" in the Manufacturer Aircraft Type input box, the label at the bottom of the Pictures area will display the final filename. If all OK press the Save Picture button in the Manufacturer area. The picture will now be used when the callsign for any Cessna 152 aircraft is input on the Aircraft Page.
